What We Do
For 17 years, we've been sharing our love of sewing with students of all ages! What started as a fun yearly summer camp has blossomed into a year-round passion, teaching both kids and adults the valuable and creative art of sewing.
Our classes are designed to be engaging and educational, with each project carefully chosen to teach specific sewing skills. Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to brush up on your techniques, our mixed-level classes provide a supportive and encouraging environment for everyone to learn and grow. We believe that sewing should be accessible to all, which is why we provide all the necessary supplies for our classes, with the exception of fabric, allowing you to personalize your creations. Instructor - Jane
Sewing is in my blood! I learned the craft from the best – my mother, who was also a passionate sewing instructor. When I was in high school, she encouraged me to start teaching summer camps as a way to earn money for college, and I haven't stopped sharing my love of sewing since. My experience goes beyond the classroom, too. I honed my skills working in my university's costume shop, where I tackled everything from intricate period pieces to quick-change outfits. These days, you can find me sewing just about anything, from Halloween costumes for my kids to custom drapes for my home. Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to expand your sewing repertoire, I'm excited to share my knowledge and passion with you. Let's create something amazing together!
The Studio
Our bright and well-equipped studio is the perfect place to explore your creativity and learn the art of sewing! We provide a comfortable and inspiring environment for students of all skill levels. Our studio boasts seven Bernina sewing machines, ensuring everyone has their own high quality workspace. We also provide all the essential tools you'll need, including a serger for professional finishing, sharp scissors, an assortment of pins, a library of patterns, tailor's chalk, rulers, cutting mats, and a dedicated ironing station with an iron and board. All you need to bring is your enthusiasm and fabric – we'll take care of the rest!
